@sigsegv @unfa personally it is not alternatives I want to see, but federation for tickets and overall project management.
Then whatever git hosting service we use will not matter any more

@falktx
@dachary isn't there a project aiming to do this? * points up*

Git federation to be precise
@sigsegv @unfa

@onepict @dachary@mastodon.online @sigsegv @unfa I do not know of any, if you do please do tell!
though I did not look for it recently...

@gustavom @onepict @dachary@mastodon.online @sigsegv @unfa then great because git.kx.studio/ is already a thing, using gitea 🍵

@gustavom
The article also proposes a pretty good solution:

“I would update your licenses to clarify that incorporating the code into a machine learning model is considered a form of derived work, and that your license terms apply to the model and any works produced with that model.”

@onepict @falktx @dachary @sigsegv @unfa

@gustavom @onepict @falktx @dachary @sigsegv @unfa

Of course, finding out that your code has been reused in this way is close to impossible, and even if you do youʼll probably wonʼt have the money for the court expenses, which makes this really, really sad.
