@unfa @falktx lol, IRC is actually very old and still stuck, a lot of IM protocols came and disappeared but IRC stuck. It just works. I'm not against what unfa says though, however I also provided a kind of mid approach by using Riot, as it can bridge different protocols, including IRC.
