Unfortunately the PeerTube instance that hosted my videos is down. No idea if it'll be up again.
:(
https://tube.netzspielplatz.de/
I should probably make 10 accounts on different instances and mirror my videos to each one for redundancy.
Or build my own server.
@unfa I can place them on https://peertube.kx.studio/ if you give me permission. Do you still have the original files store somewhere so I can rehost? or downloading via `youtube-dl -f bestaudio+bestvideo` is fine?
@porru @unfa ah neat, I am going to do an experiment with https://youtu.be/IYwaZTdlzk4 just as a test case then...
It is now uploaded at https://peertube.kx.studio/videos/watch/a483d0c6-5b95-4f79-b0bd-03b6aa7b195f
@unfa if it is okay with you, I can create a channel dedicated to your videos on this instance. no promises on how long I can keep this up, since I didnt stress test the server yet. can even give you a user if you prefer that
@unfa great, I will start (re)uploading your stuff in the background while doing other tasks then.
I will create a "unfa" user on the server, so it is more clear videos are yours, not mine.
and to be fair and clear, I am perfectly fine with hosting the videos as long as you want them.
I just dont wanna make any promises regarding bandwith because I simply do not know how big of a performance and network usage hit this will generate. the server has 1.4TB of free disk space, so that part is fine
@falktx @porru Thanks! I would really appreciate that. Feel free to mirror all of my videos to any PeerTube instance. Any way to make it possible to watch my stuff after doing a sepiasearch.org is fantastic.
I should probably get a dedicated server sometime and take care of that myself. It's just a significant cost, especially since I'm not server-savvy.
