@falktx any chance https://github.com/jackaudio/jack2/pull/800 can be merged? Or could we at least get a comment on what to improve before it can be merged? The #FreeBSD community used this patch for few months before submitting PR, so I recorded half an album for my band without a single glitch. I don't wish to to rush anything. I would like us to make PR as perfect as we can.
As you can see on https://www.freshports.org/audio/jack/ this "version" of jack is used as default since 2nd of August, so this PR is cooked as much as we could. Again, I'm just looking for a feedback on how to move forward this PR.
@meka best chance would be to have someone to start hanging out in #jack irc.libera.chat channel AND take over as maintainer of the BSD parts.
I worry about merging that and then having to maintain it myself.
I certainly do not know enough about BSD to do it myself.
So if you find someone willing to step up to maintain the BSD portion, we can begin the process of merging the changes.
