HEADS UP: we might increase the required minimum supported version of wxWidgets 3.1.7. Windows builds broke and it's because of our custom file dialog widget, which is long past its expiration date.
An effective solution is to use newer wxWidgets APIs, but this unfortunately requires a minimum version bump. We might be able to use the older API, but Windows users will be dissatisfied with the older file dialog look.
@tenacity @kamikazow there is nothing to see though. WxWidgets and Qt is an experimental project by some who's not working on it anymore.
Upstream audacity is already changing away from WxWidgets, but that will take a significant amount of time still.
I was and still am on the opinion that the best would be a closely-follow-upstream but without telemetry and musehub and co., which would take significant less effort. There is already a full team of developers refreshing the UI..
