Sometimes I really do not know what I am doing wrong when applying for jobs.

Latest example is canonical.com/careers/5140562

I told them I am the co-creator of the entire software stack behind mod.audio/dwarf/ (even talking about this device on their conference next month).
Also that I am the maintainer of the KXStudio repos, so have experience with deb packaging.
Plus extensive C/C++ knowledge as seen on my portfolio at falktx.berlin/portfolio/

Rejected within 1 day, not even an interview 🤷‍♂️

@falktx Sometimes it isn't you. I once applied for the same job through two different recruiters, got ghosted by one of them, eventually landed the job through the other.

@falktx kind of crazy there was no interview given your immense support for Debian’s family of audio software..

@falktx i've heard that canonical have some weirdo hiring culture anyway, making you write an essay about you in high school then mark shuttleworth playing darts with the CVs to pick the best culture fit. they do the personality test and iq test too, the works

@woof yeah, they always ask about your math and native language score in high school which super weeeeeeeird... like that was 20 years ago?? why is that even relevant??

maybe they expect most applicants to be juniors?
