Hey @unfa, do you know what's up with Vital's creator, mtytel? It seems to me that this guy, which is also the creator of Helm, was initially super into free software (or open-source), explaining how to build his software and enthusiastically pushing source code updates to the plugin's repo. Nowadays, it seems like mtytel's enthusiasm for free software has dropped to the floor, and I don't even think his Vital can be considered free (as in freedom).

@Mirk0dex Hey! Matt has spent years building #Vital, and AFAIK now is mainly working on serving his paying customers and improving the synth. IIRC He's released the source code under a dual license a few months after the initial release - this is why we have Vitalium, which is free software created by @falktx . So far we haven't seen a source code updated from Matt, so I don't suspect we'll be getting the new features in #Vitalium any time soon. Still - it's a indispensable free instrument.

@unfa @Mirk0dex no new features correct, but regular maintenance updates for sure.

I am still in the process or organizing and cleaning up DISTRHO-Ports project so we can keep using Vitalium on the long-term.
See github.com/DISTRHO/DISTRHO-Por for the latest changes.

The public Vital source is a special kind of weirdness to maintain, as it needs JUCE 6.0 to work, it cannot be 6.1 or 7, must be exactly 6.0.
