The question is where, what would be a good server for a trans woman / kinda lewd furry / game developer / music composer who's new to fedi? Probably would prefer to use mainline masto or a fork.

lol i recommended her tech.lgbt but turns out they got my instance silenced for whatever reason, i guess being gay in a way that offends them or something
not even surprised, of course a trans weirdo who self-hosts a pleroma gonna be on every mainstream masto blocklist, i'm just disappointed cuz i thought they seemed level-headed about those social games
@falktx when instances have huge blocklists, the false positives are almost always a combo of self-hosting + using a pleroma fork + harmless shitposting + admin is trans + federating with "bad" instances (so not even guilt by association — guilt by failing to set preemptive blocks to prevent the association from arising)

The better way is to go to https://fba.ryona.agency and search for your domain there.
Do search for both the entire domain (mastodon.falktx.com) and without the subdomain (falktx.com).
But self-hosting is not the sole heuristic people use to make snap judgements, you're running Mastodon so they know you're from the good parts of the town.
