Preparing factory presets for Vitalium.
Our dear @unfa gets a dedicated bank :D

random fact... did you know lv2 plugins can know the background and foreground colors of the host? so then UIs adapt nicely to it.

pretty neat stuff 😎

This is scary but amazing at the same time github.blog/2021-03-09-git-clo

Before you panic, only applies to case-insensitive filesystems. There are steps you can take to mitigate if you are unable to update.

@wolftune feudalism is a way backwards for sure, but as I see it, any alternatives to the current system is good. at least something is changing..

@wolftune also, that "article" is full of big words.. very hard to take any of that seriously.

@wolftune not sure why a youtube video is needed there, but what is written in the report actually makes sense. will be a somewhat-cool experiment to keep our eyes on.

Seems like to me an attempt to create something new. If this succeeds, maybe the idea of micro-economies is not so far fetched.

@rghvdberg@sonomu.club that UI is super familiar to me, haha just copying from the examples! 😆

Since the community version needs some patches - we'll be making those!

Feel free to notify your friends too :)

@rghvdberg@sonomu.club oh that is a different beast. but that one should be pretty clear, as you just get BBT values right away.

good luck!

Friday and a bit of Saturday work was making a nice little modgui (html-like lv2 UI for MOD) for my audiofile and midifile plugins.

Happy with the result 😊

And yes, something similar to this will come to the desktop version as well, but later on.

@rghvdberg@sonomu.club that wouldn't be a problem if you used C. Clearly the better language 😉

@unfa is there a recording to watch after the stream is over?

For those following the vitalium thing, I updated it in code and in the kxstudio repositories, to contain the custom juce changes applied in the original vital plugin.

It still has issues though, but as far as I know these are also present in the original.

So... a faithful port? 🤔

@be Ask on the LV2 mailing list then. I do not think this is the place for such questions..

@unfa
I actually built and run that once, on Linux. But it was quite uninteresting as they disable plugins

@weirdconstructor the synth itself is not lazy by any means, but the way the code was released was, to a certain degree.

but I am grateful we have that now

but note that many fixes are still pending to be applied. so crashes and bugs are not helpful just yet.
