Hot weather has come, really cannot deal with it.
So I am wondering about:

1. Getting up early while it is still dark, doing some work, and then resting while temps rise

2. Waking up late while still hot, work during the night and rest shortly after sun rises

In the past I did option 2 regularly, but now I need to participate on meetings so option 1 will have to do.

@phryk LV2 is an API, you can code against that API and create an LV2 plugin.
There are some plugin frameworks that target LV2 (among other formats), but then you would be coding/targeting such frameworks instead of LV2 directly.

@phryk you dont need any libs to do lv2. unless you mean to do graphics, but that should be a 2nd stage, getting some basic dsp to work should always be the 1st.

@omgubuntu I feel attacked, why does it have to remind me how long programs take to start? Can no longer pretend this 10 year old PC is fast. 😔

@rghvdberg@sonomu.club I have no idea what you just wrote, but favorite and boost for vegan.

Who wants a new scope?

For those in the know, it is a sassy one yes 😅

Apple likes jack2 so much it keeps breaking things so new jack2 releases need to be made 😡

Things broke in 12.1
github.com/jackaudio/jack2/iss

Now in 12.3 in a different way
github.com/jackaudio/jack2/iss

"breaking" more like changing how it works, leading to breakage in software that was assuming a certain behaviour.
still very shitty to do...

On Linux land it is always "we dont break userspace".
Apple seems more like "screw you, we do what we want, now give us money" 🤷

@unfa to be real honest here, these rants feel more like conspiracy click-baity cringe content, fueled by anger of the moment and filled with misinformation.
it is typically how these videos ends up being like.

maybe this one in specific is better, but overall tone just seems overly dramatic for views, full of opinions and not a whole lot of facts inside.

it is hard to take this stuff seriously

@rghvdberg@sonomu.club those are chewing gum I believe, after being thrown away and stepped on many times

@rghvdberg@sonomu.club you connect things and sounds come out! It's like magic.

Watch out though, it is quite addicting.

Cardinal 22.05 is here!

Finally with Fundamental modules, plus a bunch of other goodies.
Best release so far! 🚀 🚀 🚀

It takes care of all the major items I wanted to see in Cardinal, and seems to run quite well and stable.
Wanted to get this out of the way before moving to other things.

With that said, have fun!

@unperson part of internet discussion is that it is about everything and nothing at the same time 😅

@celesteh@queer.party I expect people to do more than just use the tools provided to them for free though.
We are not at a point where software licensing and privacy are in good standing, so just letting status quo be is akin to letting things move more and more into a wrong direction.

Active participation is not required IMO, simply refusing to use pirated software already helps.
Otherwise it is just unfair that commercial tools get both paying and non-paying customers. Gets impossible to compete.
