Looking for support, tips, and commiseration regarding book bannings now underway in my home school district. There's a really great book on the chopping block due to, ostensibly, profanity (it's not really about the profanity). I'm livid and feeling a bit helpless about it. What's the best way to make a fuss? What kind of pressure works?

this is not about picking toolkits, but about picking a job, which would require relocating to a new city.
due to everything still being in progress and negotiations pending, I need to keep it vague.
but the relocation is real, it is not a remote position if going for Qt.

2: an IRC channel that requires enough knowledge of IRC to join the channel
3: a mailing list that requires an email account and rejects HTML email
4: a ticket tracker that you can interact with from either your email address (rejects HTML email) or from the web UI but the web UI maybe requires creating a new account
5: none of the above (just don't interact with the community)

We have just issued the first #release of #sshd-openpgp-auth and #ssh-openpgp-auth.
Using this server and client-side tooling it is possible to manage the #authentication of #SSH host keys with the help of an #OpenPGP certificate as trust anchor.

Ouch. A large OpenStreetMap group has been using a proprietary chat platform as a community space for ~10 yrs. Now they gotta pay a $80k/yr (or $10k??) for usage. 🤯😱😢
Slack (now Salesforce) now wants to charge @OpenStreetMapUS for all ~6k users on their server. 😢😢 Ouch.
This sort of bait & switch is why open, community owned platforms (like this!) are vital!
