@falktx Are you running that as root? o.o Or how and why did you break the theming 😅

@bojidar_bg I did the sacrilege of running a KDE app on the Gnome desktop.

Since I am doing tests on Wayland, I need to try the Gnome desktop compositor (Mutter) to ensure things work there, as that one seems to be quite special.

I just ran dolphin, and it looks like that on a standard Debian stable.

@falktx Oh wow. Probably a packaging issue of some sort, but, hard to tell from out here o.o

That's what happens when you mess with the themes ;) The devs even made a website about it; https://stopthemingmy.app . But eh I'm not accusing you; I may very well be the distribution default theme that has a glitch.

Try changing the GTK theme for a better one ^^' Good luck ! :D

@ggenois I didn't change anything, and there are no themes involved ? not sure why you think it's related at all to that link.

The KDE app is trying to show itself in some way that is broken outside of KDE. Typically the Qt based stuff tries to find a theme based on the current desktop/OS/etc, but here it fails badly.
The fact that the window decorations are in the wrong place leads me to think there might be some "gtk integration plugin" I am missing.

Anyhow, it just looks silly.

oh ! This is dolphin ! Sorry about that. I need more sleep. It looked like Gnome-file using a bad GtkTheme with an unsupported dark mode enabled. I was of my rocker.

A while ago I got that exact same result in KDE switching from a dark color-theme to a light color-theme... Just closing then opening it again solved it... But it's been a while this was fixed... But It's still a present bug on my Debian home server (I put a kde desktop on it... since I like to host game servers on it and most of them requires a damn UI to work well... Like "space Engineers".). But any "up to date" distro should not have this bug... hm...
