Try uploading a 20 Hz - 20 kHz sine sweep to Soundcloud and let me know if it get's taken down for copyright violation (LOL).
So far no success.

A friend of a friend just had their first board game Kickstarter launch. It's a card-based one-on-one duel game that reminds me in a lot of ways of the sadly-didn't-last-long CCG Corunea that I thought was wonderful back in the day. It's called Duels of Cartisora. If you want to check out the KS, feel free! Also if you want to boost this, I would appreciate it!

Another Benn Jordan (aka "Benn and Gear") video about a product yours truly helps create.
Very exciting! 🚀

Nice little performance at the beginning 😎

@zrythm sorry but what are you sharing? this is from 2018 when Linus temporarily stepped down for personal issues. It had nothing to do with binary blobs.. that site seems like an incoherent mess tbh.

@zrythm that sounds wrong... You know carla is only 9 years old right? 😱 🚀

I often write a sort of "monthly report" of KXStudio related things.
It is to let others know what I have been doing regarding FLOSS stuff.
It is not exactly monthly tbh, but often enough...

Anyway, here's the latest one!

A question though... is this sorta link useful to share here? what do you think?

@unfa I read their ToS before, it was the usual BS and more.
1st they define what words mean, that they are bound by this and that countries laws; then some branding; no warranty etc; then comes what they allow you to do; then some user data logged and sometimes recorded but only in order to improve the product (promise!); then list of partners this data is shared with (not counting companies owned by them or the government); and finally something on how ToS still valid even one term is void

@unfa for things like these, I usually go to RMS' site first, usually there is a good collection of reasons on why not to use a specific service.
For discord, here is a link stallman.org/discord.html

New Carla release!
kx.studio/News/?action=view&ur

It is a release candidate, sure, but now tagged and will receive bug-fixes only. Try it out and let me know how it works for you.
I always include pre-built binaries for Linux, macOS and Windows.

@unfa haha that would be cool. some of the changes were made because of you ;)

@unfa carla is coming with some nice surprises, but I got stuck with the macos builds :( later on then...

@zrythm being P2P is a big problem, at least for me. You cannot focus on privacy while going P2P. afaik peertube does not have the means to pay artists that want to make a living out of it, so having it never "deplatform" users does not mean much until that happens.

@zrythm that looks confusing but fun indeed! my view is much simpler in comparison.

@unfa @sexybiggetje@mastodon.social I also cannot recommend Brave, I actually recommend *not* to use Brave.
some info on what @sexybiggetje@mastodon.social mentioned github.com/brave/brave-core/co

@unfa I heavily disagree. IRC is working quite fine for ardour

@unfa yes, as using a midi sequencer without being able to record notes is quite the killer
