@nihilazo @unfa if we are going to be critical of things, peertube uses p2p which is awful for privacy.
video hosting and streaming has a serious scalability problem due to the size of the content.
I do not think there is not going to be a 100% clean, private and scalable solution anytime soon.

@unfa I have seen a few creators posting videos there, how do you like it? Does it feel like a valid YouTube competitor in any way?

Doing some experiments with direct github.com/ocornut/imgui support in DPF.
One great thing from imgui is the absurd amount of existing widgets made for it.

So with a few lines of code I have a full blown text editor.
Integrates well into other things (ie, plugin GUIs)

Just need to sort out a few details regarding text/user input, and we are set for expanding the stuff DPF can do :D

@greenprocyon that doesnt help anyone. I will fill a formal complaint with the appropriate portuguese authorities if I get no reply in 1 week. They will take care of it, as already did in the past for example https://www.cnpd.pt/comunicacao-publica/noticias/cnpd-acusou-municipio-de-lisboa/

The privacy policy is also not that great, as they use google maps for the interactive view but nowhere on the privacy policy is that even mentioned. Only that they share some data with official partners.
Can my municipality be partners with Google? 🤔

I am truly amazed by the amount that some people really don't care about privacy, somehow it got to my municipal public transport having "Lorem ipsium" place holder text for its cookie usage descriptions 🤦‍♂️

DPF does not have real widgets, so that is usually the biggest hurdle. But I made abstract classes for stuff I use in my own plugins, so devs only need to implement the drawing for buttons, knobs etc.

This is all made on free time and 100% liberally licensed, so you get what you pay for kinda deal. Always open to contributions of course!

I want to work on plugin documentation, now that things have stabilized a bit on DPF development side.

On a tangent but still related, MOD Devices (who I work for) is soon getting someone to help with this too. Since JUCE is not ready for LV2 just yet, we will likely just work on DPF directly as a way to push plugins+developers into the MOD platform. Everybody wins! :D

@fusterclucker I recommend new devs to use DPF, made by yours truly ;)

If something in specific is needed that is not in DPF, I am always available for hire to get these features there sooner.

But realistically JUCE will stay on the top spot for a long time.
It has everything needed to get audio plugins with a few steps and code, while DPF is quite barebones by design (I prefer leaner frameworks, JUCE got too big IMO)

@hoergen and to continue on this, after inspection of the code, this is not so great at all..
some people on IRC were quite upset over the quality of the DSP code, it is that bad...
expect tons of aliasing issues with the plugin.

web browser on plugin gui for rendering the actual GUI is a tiny bit much, specially if going over node.

hopefully it is only for GUI, nothing JS/node wise on DSP side..
