Our deadline is 5 Dec. 2022.
If you'd like to speak but have questions come ask here:
Interested in the computational use of library & museum collections? Check out the “Collections as Data” international workshop announced for 2023. Individuals at all levels of experience - from all regions of the world - are highly encouraged to apply! https://collectionsasdata.github.io/part2whole/future/
I keep seeing lots of long-time #fediverse users saying 'don't favourite posts it does nothing' but actually when you favourite my posts it makes me smile and I'm sure I'm not the only one.
@eylul we briefly talked about #UBI and related things in #ubuntusummit, want to share a little talk by someone personally involved with the cause.
Maybe you even already seen it, in the case resharing does not hurt :)
Can really recommend a watch.

Now the way the Internet Archive is doing mastodon is how more organisations and celebs should be joining the fediverse!
They have a dedicated in house instance, which lets you identify official staff, and gives them control and security over their content, whilst also allowing people and instances to opt in or out of interacting with them
Kudos for doing it right @internetarchive!
i'm not gonna post actively on this instance again given how it's spinning down, but i will prolly install a single-user instance of something non-mastodon soon, what's good? seems pleroma recovered a bit from its social issues, and misskey improved its performance and gained a pair of friendly feature forks. calckey might be good idk
also i've been on cohost last few days people are nice there ( https://cohost.org/AriaSalvatrice )
So it begins...

This is the Fixometer. It registers community repair events such as repair cafes and restart parties and records the data from these events. The data then joins data from a network of global partners, it's published and used in campaigns and policies. #OpenData #RightToRepair https://openrepair.org/open-data/insights/
Weekly-ish recap: usability improvements in @GIMP, bugfix releases in @krita, new Ardour release, new features in Olive.
