A popup message on the website of an actual, real and quite good food-wise restaurant in Berlin.

They forgot to finish the site setup 😅
Who uses websites anymore, am I right..?

A yellow kitchen in Dnipro, #Ukraine 🇺🇦 🏠.

Once a symbol of warmth and family, it now stands as a reminder of the devastating effects of Russian imperialism.

One day a little girl celebrated her birthday with her family in this kitchen. The next day, the kitchen and the family are no more, destroyed by Russian imperialism.

This is what Ukraine is standing up against. This is what we are all standing up against.

After reading all these comments about the #SteamDeck here on #Mastodon I finally decided to buy one too. I haven't played games since 2015 and I only start again because I am able to do it on #Linux with support for #Flatpak.
Which also means the Steam Deck is #PicPlanner approved! 😄
Switch to desktop mode, start the KDE store, search for PicPlanner, press install.
I would have never guessed to see PicPlanner on a gaming console 😄

Mixer complete!

Based on the Moritz Klein Clipping Distortion Mixer, with 4 channels instead of 3.

Sadly, I couldn’t get the clipping distortion to work. But everything else worked perfectly on the first try. I don’t really care for the distortion feature, in fact, I should have added a 5th mixer channel and skipped it entirely, which would have let me use a smaller op amp. Too late for that, so I added printed plugs in the holes where the diode clipping circuit would go if it worked.

I will really need a real rack soon, and also a way to power up my modules, my test busboard made of stripboard can only power 3 at once, I could build a bigger one right now, but I’m expecting busboard PCBs soon. I’ll also need a PSU when I finally make a decent case (don’t worry, as much as I love my janky 3D printed builds and cheap components, I’m serious about safety for the power supply)

Beep @synthdiy (more details in the recent posts on my instance's page if interested)

check out bespoke visible on the front page of MUTEK's site!! montreal.mutek.org/

much gratitude to NSDOS for including bespoke in his performance!

@odo vanilla being gpl-only licensed is very odd to see.

the effort is appreciated, but I am really just wondering about discourse. main reason to learn it is for work, kinda. since discourse is quite popular it is a nice skill to have and learn.

@refi64 my server has 64gb, so that shouldnt be a problem. maybe the ideas that it is too heavy comes from people trying to use it in simple/cheap VPS?

@odo you dont like notifications for when 10 people like your post, or your topic got popular? I joke but it also seems weird for me. I dont find it annoying personally, more of it being silly.
Perhaps it works though..? I dont think we are the target audience for these things..

@zemarmot @prokoudine @GIMP @inkscape my main purpose would be to link external svg files and be able to set their size without having to reimport or lose lossy-resize.

in any case, it is great news that svg support is improved! working with svgs in previous versions was a bit of a pain, having to calculate the exact size needed in advance..

so thanks for the effort!

for those that self-host discourse for community forums.. how big of a maintenance burden is it? does it take a lot of resources from the server?

from time to time I wonder if kxstudio, carla, dpf, distrho ports, cardinal and related projects should have a central place of discussion.
I still have a rocketchat instance running, but it rarely sees any activity, and it is just not the type of place best suited for long-term discussions..

could replace one for the other 🤔
