Doing some experiments with direct github.com/ocornut/imgui support in DPF.
One great thing from imgui is the absurd amount of existing widgets made for it.
So with a few lines of code I have a full blown text editor.
Integrates well into other things (ie, plugin GUIs)
Just need to sort out a few details regarding text/user input, and we are set for expanding the stuff DPF can do :D
Michael "Vsauce" Stevens is back!
It has been a while since he published a full-length video that was not part of "Youtube Red" or "Mind Field", happy to see him take back the channel for the old/previous content that made him famous.
The newest entry: "Do chairs exist?".
With just a little below 38 minutes in length π
I missed you Vsauce π
I am truly amazed by the amount that some people really don't care about privacy, somehow it got to my municipal public transport having "Lorem ipsium" place holder text for its cookie usage descriptions π€¦ββοΈ
Am I the first to see this? How is this even a thing?
Already wrote to them complaining, wtf...
Seems like it is finally happening.
JUCE will be adding official LV2 support π

The Libre Music Challenge is a friendly competition happening every month, where partakers make a piece of music on a given theme or using a given open-source tool and enjoy the creativity and learning that ensues! After the submission deadline is up, everyone votes to pick a winner! (There's no prizes handed out other than the eternal glory as a LMC winner).

This month''s theme is: THE 80s Synthwave / Newwave.

Delay Architect is a very inspiring, open-source delay plug-in that lets you visually create a sequence of delay taps with different volume, panning, filtering and pitchshifting applied. Awesome stuff!

See you next month!
@falktx both here. Tusky is rather useable though. But I kinda prefer the Desktop because of typing on mobile is a hassle π
Am I the only one using mastodon on the desktop? So many replies to my last message saying they use mobile/phone stuff..
I find the mastodon mobile application to be quite crappy, too much stuff going on all over the place.
Often when I receive a message I rather wait until I have time on the desktop/laptop, rather than replying from the phone. I must be some dying breed or something... π
@tenacity which human being has mentioned the bird site on mastodon
you shall be sentenced to logout
Carla Plugin Host v2.4.0 is here.
https://kx.studio/News/?action=view&url=carla-plugin-host-v240-is-here
A release just in time for Ubuntu's feature freeze, light on new stuff but still valid. π
@falktx has been doing some incredibly valuable, dedicated and important work in the work of #LinuxAudio / #FLOSS audio over the years, in particular with the #KXStudio project.
If you rely on these tools, or even just feel like helping, please consider a donation.
falkTX talks about the difficulties in keeping development going on his free time in this post from last month: https://kx.studio/News/?action=view&url=kxstudio-monthly-report-june-2021-and-a-little-personal-note
You can choose from a variety of ways to donate here: https://kx.studio/Donations
Thanks! π
