People who think "Open Source is thriving, it's everywhere!" and are all optimistic about it are doing the same thing as the people with electric cars and solar panels on their McMansions thinking that we're on track to deal with the climate crisis.
The *real* solutions for a healthy sustainable FLO world are all still marginalized and struggling, and the capitalist #greenwashing and #openwashing serve mainly to delude people about the state of things.
Dragonfly Reverb has just had a new release - 3.2.7 (including a CLAP version of the plug-ins).

Yet another release, this time Ildaeil for its v1.1 that brings JSFX "plugin" hosting, fixes its VST3 support and adds CLAP (as in, Ildaeil as VST3 and CLAP plugin, not for hosting yet)

Enjoy!
@unfa oh hey, I know those guys! 😅

@meka @prokoudine has a nice article summing it up https://lwn.net/Articles/893048/
@unfa tbqh I wouldnt trust "techrights" anymore. they were heavily in favour of freenode when the whole hosting takeover happened. plus a couple of other things better not spoken of online..
I would watch out very carefully (as in, dont assume truthful statements) for anything coming from their side.
Now slowly getting time to do a few things, releases will begin again.
Cardinal is up first, bringing a fancy dynamic light vs dark theme change, among other changes.
See https://kx.studio/News/?action=view&url=cardinal-2209-released for official announcement and changelog.
Enjoy!
@wrl just to be clear, I am not using fd stuff, but the timer extension.
Tested to work fine (plugins work as usual) in both Bitwig and Reaper.
and btw, funny to see Bitwig being the pusher for the standard, while not implementing it fully. I already found a few things where bitwig doesnt follow the spec.
@wrl there is a timer extension to have an idle loop, similar to how vst3 does it. the main difference is that, at least in bitwig, this timer extension is not linux/X11 specific.
for both clap and vst3 I use the idle loop from the system (which on my case comes from pugl) whenever possible, which is macos and windows. then the host idle loop extension thingy makes the linux side of things work.
cheers, librearts

@prokoudine btw, your post image foot note has written " master_me / LV2 / VST3 ", but it is actually LV2, VST2, VST3 and CLAP.
@prokoudine ah I didnt realize you wrote about it too. We need to get librearts stuff on https://planet.linuxaudio.org/ too!
I posted about it before already, but now with v1.1 tagged with some critical bug fixes, it is time to spread it even further.
So there is an official announcement for master_me on the KXStudio site now.

This is a mastering audio plugin, specially made for live situations.
Enjoy and have fun!
