@dvzrv juce is 100% not made to be packaged, this breakage comes from them not even considering that a possibility.

to be fair I do the same for DPF, but then DPF is much smaller in comparison too..

@snailerotica the project setup entry points would be distrho.github.io/DPF/ and github.com/DISTRHO/imgui-templ

with an additional resource for learning DSP or a DSP-oriented language like faust. but for this last one I dont have recommendations yet

“Oh wow, your scam email was really impressively well done!” - “Thanks, I actually was just phishing for compliments”

@woof might be they hate taking pictures or "selfies", ending.up with an old one because there are none that are new.
or maybe that is just me...

MuseScore is an awesome program (musescore.org). But avoid the sinking sands of the service set up on musescore.com domain, made by the company that acquired both MuseScore and Audacity in recent years.

This stuff is a racket. I'd advise to install MuseScore from your Linux distribution's repository and never visit any websites associated with it.

MuseGroup's monetization schemes are vile.

@odo it is not for me, it is for watching what other people are doing, other creators.

I like what the corridor digital does for example, and was looking into watching their in-house production series but cannot due to DRM.

The LTT group has good content from time to time, but they have their own platform outside of youtube which means yet another account and subscription.. and I am not sure how well it even works.

Getting out of youtube is proving to me trickier than expected.

Nebula works quite well, sadly no way for users to post comments yet.
Just tried seeing how the nice folks at corridor digital would fare, and I am now seriously disappointed they make use of DRM on their website, making all videos unplayable :(

I wrote to them about the issue, but don't expect anything to change really.
This is not a media conglomerate, but regular artists/creators. I expected them to do better...

@marcan@treehouse.systems very nice and compreensive, so I think that is your answer.

@marcan@treehouse.systems just make a feature/status table on a fixed URL that people can easily link to?

related: for me the asahi stuff is ready to daily drive on a mac mini M1, only complaint being the 8Gb model and no one properly optimizing stuff. KDE/Plasma without extras taking 4Gb on first boot is insane

news on this one: workshop proposal rejected, so won't be talking about this on the summit after all.

perhaps would still fit for sonoj.org/ though

Call me old fashioned, but a pair of well placed googly eyes is still one of my favorite acts of vandalism. Used here to improve local real estate ads.

This week, I went over to Bluesky and asked people who'd left Mastodon why they left, and lots of people told me. I grabbed the replies and crunched them and wrote up a summary. I think it's really interesting and often kind of wrenching.
