@unfa I get you. But it is not a reason to hate on porn itself, or wanting to stop it altogether, or assuming it is bad. Understandable that you had issues with it, many other people dont.

I mean, the gaming industry is really in an awful place right now, but we do not label games as this bad hurtful thing. After remakes of my old time-favorites became a cesspool of a marketplace, it has completely put me off from playing games. But you know, all things not being equal, etc

@unfa I have reasons to believe my biases for this are way less, as I used to be super religious myself but eventually changed my ways. Most of the anti-porn ideas comes from religion, 2nd (not exactly sure but seems very likely) are from people that feel that it is a demeaning service. If we ignore religion and its ideas of what consitutes morality, we can finally have a good debate around the topic.
If we just go assuming it is bad and evil, there is no discussion possible.

@unfa thinking it as immoral without question is very narrow and close-minded. some people actually enjoy working on the area, it is just the whole conditions around it being so awful.
ostracizing them like you do contributes to this, so *you actually hurt them* with this mindset. as I see it, you are the one implying their work in value-less, not them.

actors often have to do the same things as sex workers, getting naked and intimate with others. some mainstream media even feature full sex scenes. we dont have this big stigma against them...
but they are very similar in the end, they "sell" their time faking enjoying a scene.

When I say that porn is often a escape-goat, I mean in attributing a lot of bad stuff to it. It is not just violence, but for example "decadence" and the whole stigma/tabu of anyone working in the area. People treat it as this ugly disgusting thing, but it is just human nature (we can say animal nature, as they masturbate too)

There is nothing wrong about sex work, it is a job like any other. The stigma against it is terrible, it just prevents those that work on the field to be taken seriously and receive proper care.

IMO the "new" drug we need to fight is sugar, that one has actually received scientific studies on its addiction. Obesity is a real crisis. Whatever people do in private time is not.

Hi. I need some quick testing from people using Linux and High-DPI / >1 Desktop Scale Factor.

Just added support for this on DPF Linux side, so testing is very much appreciated.

To test:

The test requires OpenGL and X11 develop packages installed and a working audio setup (if you are on archlinux you should always have this)

Let me know if it scales properly, see screenshot for an example
